Every number in your training, explained.
Ledger is a workout tracker with a coaching layer that shows its work. Log sets, chart PRs, and run programs free forever — no account, no sign-up, and your training data never leaves your phone. When you want to know why the next weight is the next weight, Pro tells you in one line.

Add 5 lb → 190 lb — rule 2 of 4: all sets hit target reps, avg RPE 7.5 (cap 8.0). Pro
Every app can count your sets. Almost none can defend them.
Most training apps work like this: you log, an algorithm mutters, a new number appears. Add 5 lb. Take a deload. Trust us. When you can't see the reasoning, you can't tell a smart adjustment from a random one — so you second-guess the app, then yourself, then the program.
Ledger is built on one belief: a recommendation you can't interrogate is a guess with good typography. Every number Ledger hands you arrives with its reason, in plain language, from rules you can read before you follow one.
Why? (no answer)
Same number. Only one of them earns trust.
Add 5 lb — rule 2 of 4: all 15 reps completed, avg RPE 7.5 (cap 8.0). Pro
Here is what that looks like across one week.
Monday. The recommendation shows its work.
You log like any tracker: tap the weight, tap the reps, the rest timer starts itself. Then Pro's auto-progression checks four transparent rules — no black box — and prints the one it used. An add when you earned it, a hold when you didn't — with the reps and RPE it argued from right there. If you disagree, override it: you are the lifter.
Hold 70 lb
Rule 3 of 4: avg RPE 8.5 over cap 8.0 — earn it again before adding.
Wednesday. Rough night, lighter bar — automatically.
A 20-second morning check-in — sleep, soreness, stress — becomes a readiness score, and today's weights scale to match, continuously, from about −15% to +5%. Not a binary "skip your workout," and never a silent change: a measured trim with a stated cause. You still train. You just train at what today can actually lift.
Trimmed 10% — readiness 0.90, short sleep.
Any day. Something hurts — tap "this hurt."
Every exercise carries two buttons: "this hurt" and "not feeling it." Tap one and Ledger substitutes instantly from its 337-exercise library, honoring common-injury exclusions, so a cranky shoulder doesn't end the session — it reroutes it. This one is free, like all of the tracking.
Friday. The AMRAP sets next month's numbers.
On a wave cycle, your training max moves because of what you actually did, not because a calendar said so. Take the top set for as many reps as you have; beat the target and the training max nudges up, grind it and it holds. The session closes with a score out of 100 — measured against your own history, nobody else's.
Training max 315 → 320 lb — AMRAP beat target by 3.
Session score vs your last 12 weeks
Sunday. The whole week on one body.
The Muscle Ledger totals your effective sets per muscle for the week and holds them against Maintain, Grow, and Max targets on a body heat map. Strong weeks glow. The side delts you quietly skipped do not — lagging muscles stop hiding inside "I trained upper," and you get the exact number to fix it.
Week of Jul 27 — effective sets vs target
Bench stalls — you get an audit, not a shrug.
When a lift flatlines, Ledger runs a five-check audit with numbers, not vibes: trend, effort, volume, frequency, recovery. The verdict names the lever that is actually stuck. And when the fatigue math says back off, the deload advisor says so with its triggers named — you never have to take its word for it.
Effort up, load flat — wave the load: −5% and rebuild.
Deload suggested — triggers: RPE drift +1.4 over 3 weeks, 2 missed rep targets.

No account. No trial clock. This tier is the product, not the bait.
No account. No cloud. No trackers.
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to breach. Your sets, PRs, and progress photos live on your phone; backups are files you own, restorable in one tap. Ledger runs no analytics and no tracking. An app that explains every number to you shouldn't be quietly explaining you to anyone else. Privacy isn't a toggle here. It's the architecture.
Form Check Beta
Film a set and Ledger analyzes your movement with on-device pose estimation. Nothing uploads — the analysis happens on your phone and stays there.
Free to track, forever. Pro when you want the why.
Try every Pro feature free for 14 days — no card required. When the trial ends, Free keeps working. Nothing expires but the extra intelligence.
